Hey, PS’ers! It’s been many years since I’ve posted here but I have been on from time to time reading posts. It never gets old, that’s for sure!
A little back story: When I first joined PS over 15 years ago, I had just gotten engaged. My husband proposed to me with a 60-point two-tone bezel set solitaire. It was so beautiful but I eventually decided that I wanted something fancier. We traded it in and ended up getting a halo ring which then got traded in again for another ring and then another ring LOL. I’ve been wearing the same beautiful ring for the last nine years but now my husband and I are talking about remaking our original ring that he proposed to me with. We will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary this December!
I have been on Jamesallen.com looking for bezel settings and I stumbled upon the lab created diamonds, which are very appealing to me to me for many reasons. I would actually prefer a lab grown diamond now, to be honest!
Anyway, it has been so many years that I have honestly forgotten what specs to look for in a well-cut diamond (i.e. girdle thickness…have no clue! LOL!) I mean, I know the basics like cut, color and clarity. I do like a touch of color in my diamonds so I’m looking for anywhere from F to H color and would prefer anywhere from SI1 to VS clarity. Pretty much, I don’t want to see any inclusions to the naked eye. I figure for the cost, I can get a hearts and arrows cut diamond which is kind of exciting. I would like to spend no more than $1500 on the diamond and really like the .75- 1 carat size range. I found a diamond which looks pretty perfect to me (link below) but was wondering what you guys think. Was wondering if you could help me find the best diamond that meets my desired specs.
Thank you sooo much! Feels good to be back!
