We have two diamonds that look attractive at bluenile:
1.31, Round
Ideal
H and SI1
Symmetry and Polish are both Excellent
$6,732
Sarin report showed 0,0,0

1.40, Round
Ideal
H and SI2
Symmetry and Polish are both Excellent
$6,678
Sarin report showed 0,0,0

We are close to pulling the trigger on one of these diamonds but now have reservations based on some comments in the forum regarding bluenile''s higher prices.

Would welcome any helpful comments.

thanks!

Can you post all the #'s?
Also, be careful with SI's! Not all are eye-clean.

Try calling Tom @ Abazias. He was extremely helpful to me finding the "Right" diamond at the very best price. Good luck- Cary D

Both sets of numbers look really good, and the price is reasonable. It might be a couple hundred dollars more than a similar diamond, but every diamond is different, and the prices are definitely in the ballpark, best I can tell.

I have to echo what Giangi said. It might come down to which is eye-clean. You've got a better chance of that with the SI1, but you still could get lucky with the SI2 as well. I think Aljdewey actually has an eye-clean (edited to add eye-clean) H SI2 around that size.

If you ask, the vendor may be able to provide magnified pictures of the inclusions, an idealscope picture to help determine light return and symmetry, and H&A pictures if it's being sold as one.

Best of luck!

Gosh that's a really tough choice.

I like the medium blue, small table, and the extra diameter of the 1.40. Side by side unmounted it will look subtly but distinctly larger.

Are there any comments on either report?

In general I don't like SI-2s. But if you luck out and find a nice one you get a whole lot of stone for the money.

Why don't you do like Magnum suggested and ask for some close up photos? I also wouldn't mind seeing girdle plots if their Sarin does that. Then have them send you both to look at. It's free shipping right?
