After lurking on the site for the past couple weeks I figured it was time to enlist the advice of those with far more knowledge than me.

I am looking for an antique style cushion to go in the Victor Canera Emilya Halo solitare setting. These both look great to me but may go with the ERD for the extra .25ct. What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated.

And this AVC...

I like the ERD stone better (I am having a hard time understanding the ASET though).

I like the faceting pattern better on the ERD. It has a more roundish culet and more "even"
faceting pattern. The AVC (which are usually my favorite) seems to have more of a bow-tie
for lack of a better term running E/W. Lets just say the faceting pattern E/W is different
than whats running N/S probably due to the length/width difference.

It seems like the ASET of the AVC looks better, but perhaps some of the experts can chime in.

Personally I like the pattern and square shape of the ERD stone better.

Ditto to all of this. Usually I adore AVCs, but I don't care for that one as much as others. Is there another AVC with the specs you want?

I've actually seen the I in person and was seriously considering purchasing it myself. It is a beautiful stone, only slightly warm in some lighting conditions and has a nice personality. My only problem was that I felt like the 'windmill pattern' in the center was a bit dark for my taste.

I personally like both of the ERD stones all around as compared to the AVC

Thanks for your help. I like the 2nd AVC too.

I was also looking at this stone. Its a 2.07 I VS2. It is .5ct bigger than the AVC and $1k cheaper. I know its an I but it looks good in the video. What do y'all think?

Pretty...still not sure about that ASET though. I guess it must be their setup but its just not clear to me.

I still think this one outdoes all the ones on this page so far, but I know Jon is getting in a lot more AVC's in the near future. I'd wait if you have time and don't want the stone below.

I prefer the square cushions, but that is just a personal opinion. Any way you can see them in person to compare?
