So I bought this for an E-ring and it has too much blue even for my non-expert eyes

Others I am considering are:

Any thoughts on these, especially as it relates to avoiding too much blue nuance, would be greatly appreciated!

If the videos are accurate for color, I see the least amount of blue tint in the 4.08, followed by 4.07/4.24. I would take the 4.16 out of consideration. Have you considered going for D/E color if you are color sensitive?

The 4.08 is the winner out of these options.

Good point, I will search more in the D/E range. Thanks for your input!

Perfect, I just went with the 4.08, and the jeweler is going to double check that it lacks blue once received/before shipping. Diamond purchasing is stressful!

Found some HPHT options for you to look at:

4.01 D VS2 40.8/34.5/57
GIA graded
$7400

4.00 F VS1 40.6/34/53
GIA graded
$6450

Ah, good...I saw that the 4.08 was unavailable which I why I posted those others.

Man, you are fast! Thanks so much for your help. I've been studying your (and others) feedback on videos and reports to help me know what to look for. This is a very helpful forum!

Love that 4.00 F VS1 40.6/34/53 with the cat arrows @DejaWiz!

And just to clarify - blue nuance (due to boron content) and diamond warmth are separate. So you can be color sensitive to different tones.

Personally, in old cuts I like warmer diamonds without blue nuance. In modern cooler cuts, I don’t mind a touch of blue. It’s all so personal. Like picking out a puppy or buying a house - lol
