Hello
We just got engaged and are looking to buy an E-ring. We''re newbies to diamonds and have been searching a perfect stone that is within our budget of $8000 ( stone) and $500-1000 for a platinum setting. We need your help in "how to buy a diamond online".
looking for 1.5ct or bigger Round stone ( $8000)
Color G to I
Clarity VS1-SI1
Tiffany classic six- prong platinum setting( replica) $500-$1000.
We went to pricescope vendors'' websites and found some stones that are within our budget. We like James Allen and Ababias websites. Are they reputable stores? Anyone bought stones/e-rings from them and how was the experience?
We''d like to see a stone and the ring before we buy so how do others buy E-ring online? How do we find a reputatble appraiser?
We found that some online vendors charge sales tax and others don''t.
JA charges sales tax to NY resident but the office is based in Maryland. We live in NY. How do we avoid paying sales tax if puchase is made online?
Many thanks in advance.
