Hello,
I am returning to my jeweler today to see the 1st draft wax of my gf's custom ring.
We have decided to ditch the micro-pave and do bead-set pave in Platinum, however the shank will only be 1.7mm due to the transition of the tapered baguette into the shank. I've seen several PS members state that it's best to have your shank be at least 1.9-2mm.
Any ideas on how we can widen the shank some without adding bulk to the ring, while still making that transition as seamless as possible? I'm sure my jeweler will have suggestions, but I like to go in with ideas as well.
