Hello all, hope everyone's enjoying Thanksgiving! So I am finally getting an engagement ring for my eight anniversary in January. We have a super small budget :boohoo: around 1000 for the stone, getting a setting from David Klass. I love emerald cuts but my ideal size is 8x6mm so that's out. I was considering, moissanite but I only like the oec moissanites. So I am thinking about getting a pear diamond which will give me a bit more coverage on my large size 8 fingers. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks so much guys :loopy:

What kind of setting are you considering??
And you wouldn't be interested I a colored stone? (I can think of onenin particular that's yellow and you could get a lot of size for your budget)

Thanks @niel those are both great. I am considering a pave or three stone setting. I would like to see the yellow stone I like color depend on the stone and shade.

Have you considered the second hand/pre-loved market? I think you could get more size and a better deal.

Edit - Are you cooking Neil? I'm cooking and PS is my break when I need to get out of the kitchen!

OP, have you considered putting most of your budget into the stone right now and picking out one of the less expensive
JA settings (that are now 25% off)? You can have it reset for a future anniversary...or when you save up a little more
cash.

Knife edge $135 (wow)...it's pretty in rose gold too

Rope $210

Twist $300

Just trying to think of a way to stretch your stone budget. I'd go for that knife edge rose gold for $135 and spend the rest on
the stone. Do the David Klass when you have time to save a little more.

8.8 mm with the halo!. Ask David at DBL if they can size it to an 8 for you. Lots of finger coverage for size 8.

DBL rings are gorgeous!

Wow, that's pretty!

To OP -- I did get a pear myself, in part looking for more finger coverage, and it worked out well for me. I do really love this DBL ring, though!
