Hello all!

I need some help. I want to buy a pair of diamond stud earrings as a gift for my fiancee in time for our wedding on Saturday November 3.

They need to be shipped to Dallas, Texas so that a friend of ours can drive it up to me in Toronto.

Any suggestions?

My budget is UP TO $3000 USD and I''d like at least a 1.2CTW and good qualities in the other categories.

I''ve only used bluenile.com and am simply overwhelmed to check out other sites.

Any suggestions? Links to what you''ve found would be MOST appreciated!!!

Thanks!!

I would look at White Flash''s "ready set go" earrings. You better hurry though. Maybe you can do a rush order.

Hmm...well, it looks like 1.2 ctw AGS 0 diamonds might be budget busting. (You should go for the best cut stones, though-a .5 ideal cut AGS 0 will probably appear just as big, if not bigger than a not so well cut .6 carat diamond.) I think if you aim for 1 ctw it will be a lot easier! I would try Whiteflash since they have their own inventory and should be able to set them relatively quickly.

You guys are on WF like white on rice. Call Union Diamond, and speak to Barbara. I got 2 GIA triple excellent stones, one 0.62 other 0.63 H SI1 both eye clean in yellow gold mounts for right around 3000......

And the person who stated a well cut 0.5 ct stone will look just as big if not bigger than a 0.6 is wrong. The difference can be quite obvious. i beleive it is a 0.4mm diameter difference

The budget isn''t fixed so if I need to spend more that''s fine. I''m now thinking I want to go up to 1.5 TCW. And up to $4000.

Thanks!

Hey, like others have stated, Whiteflash is an excellent place to start! I bought my earrings through them and LOVE them.

Have you checked their website? They have a great database where you can compare stones and prices. The ACAs are considered the best cut, but it's worth looking into their Expert Selection as well since they're not as pricey.

I went to Whiteflash and the Ready Set Go in 1.5 total carat comes in I colour with SI1 for $4200 ... sound about right?!?

Why does no one mention Blue Nile? They have 1.5 in G or better in VS2 or better for $5500.

both with platinum settings.

Blue Nile is a drop shipper. They don''t examine the diamonds before they are sent out to you. WF allows you to upgrade on their ACA on ES, but not on RSG earrings. We recommend them because of our own positive experiences
