Need CAD help!!!

I played around with photoshop. The image is scaled to represent a 5.7 mm diamond and the left shank is 2 mm and right shank is 3 mm.

This is fantastic! There's way too much excess metal on the 3mm. The melee fit the 2mm perfectly but I like the wider thank better.
Hmm...I think the 2.5mm will be a happy medium. This really helps put my mind at ease. The CADs left me with more questions than answers. Thank you do much!

If you go with a wider shank, he will need to use bigger melee. The amount of metal showing should be consistent. Let me look at your cads to see what else to add. Will do that if I have time before my flight.

When he sets the diamonds in the shank, refer him to the second row photos. You see how they have a V at the end ... none of the other inspired versions have this. I think it looks really nice.
