61.7 depth
Polish very good
Symmetry very good

GIA cert doesn't provide any other info. The gia certification number is laser inscribed on this diamond. Is there any need to get this diamond independently appraised?

You'll need to provide more information for opinions.

The shape of the diamond, diameter and depth measurements, table %, total depth %, crown and pavillion %'s. Crown and pavillion angles are much better if you happen to have Sarin/OGI information available.

We'll be glad to help you when we get more information.

You might ask the Vendor for a Sarin on the diamond. If you cannot get the info, you can make purchase contingent on a satisfactory, independent appraisal. Then have the loose diamond professionally evaluated.

Can't tell you much more than the table and depth look OK. A really great cut of this carat weight would be a tad closer to 7mm in diameter. Doesn't mean this diamond won't be a nice performer.

Can't tell you much more than that. Sorry.

Well, that really depends on you. If you have seen it and you like it, and if you're comfortable with the price being asked, then you might not need to get it appraised.

If it were ME, however, I would certainly get it appraised independently. Part of what contributes to the cost of the diamond is its make.....its cut proportions, etc. Since you don't know that information, you really don't know if the price you're paying is a great buy or just an average buy.

Further, do you intend to insure this diamond? Because if you do, you want as much information on it as you can when you do insure it. Insurance companies replace with "like kind", so they could replace with a diamond of inferior make that wouldn't sparkle as much if you don't specify the make on your insurance policy.

If the vendor you're purchasing from doesn't have the ability to get an OGI or Sarin report on this diamond, then I'd make the sale contingent on getting a satisfactory appraisal on the diamond. Get a 10-day, no questions asked return policy and get it to an appraiser in that 10-day window.
