Hi everyone,

I am choosing a diamond for my lady.

I am looking at this one:

1.01 Carat Princess Cut
Very Good-cut, H-color, VS1-clarity with report from GIA.
Depth% 74.4
Table% 71
Polish: Good
Symmetry: Good
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick
Gulet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 5.49 x 5.36 x 3.99 mm
Length/width ratio: 1.02

Will appreciate your input.

Thanks,

-Genry

GIA does not grade the cut performance of a princess, that cut gade is given by the vendor which can mean something or nothing at all. The only lab that grades the cut performance of a princess is AGS, so stick to that to be safe or buy from a vendor that can provided at least ASET image.

definitely take stone-cold's advice. You should stick with an AGS graded ideal/excellent stone, and get ASET images to verify the cut quality.

AGS O princess cut diamonds are beautiful, but you can find just as beautiful GIA diamonds it is just more work. I have no idea what your budget is but here are three that I found at JA. If you call them they will have their gemologist look at three to see which one is the best, and I would also request asset images :twirl:
