I''ve found three different designs that I really am fond of in e-ring settings. Frankly, I don''t know who makes any of them because rather than having seen them and fallen in love in a jewelery store, I found them doing a google websearch for something else (princess cut versus gorgeous asscher cut stones). Two of them were found on flicker by some jeweler who liked to take photos of rings (I guess she was an antique shop person or something? She gave no information about who made them.)

I have heard a few people mention that Whiteflash and James Allen will work with you on a design, but I am not sure how far outside of their pre-designed mounts they will stretch, or how much of my budget designinig it could take. I''d like to put up a few photos and see if:

1) Anyone has a guess as to who the Jeweler may be (I''ve seen no signatures)
2) If anyone has come across similar looks in other rings, and can send links to the rings or model numbers that I might like
3) If no one has seen anything like these, best guesses about who I could speak to at a jeweler about creating similar pieces -- there are a few things I wold like to change or take away if I have the option of creating my own piece, but I have never done anything like this.

Pictres to follow.

Please, please, please respond if you have any ideas at all -- even your favorite local personal jeweler! I have no connections, and this is the most important, meaningful thing I am trying to pick out, in my life. My grandfather is dying of a form of blood cancer, and I want him to see my ring and know that I am happy, loved, and will be provided for. I feel like I don''t have anyone to turn to -- my diamond is going to end up being set in a Jared 14k white gold mount, and I know it will make me so sad after PS has introduced me to the world of possibilities outside of the same 20 pieces at the mall Jewery chains!

Hi there!
I haven''t seen your pics yet - however I have been using Jewels By Erica Grace (JBEG) (You can search for them here and see other PS''ers opinions too!
Erica there has been AMAZING at helping me do what ever I have needed to and has held my hand through the whole process.
Oh and I''m in Australia and they are in the US so they have been GREAT to work with over emails.

Good luck

Here is the first one -- it looks like it is a little unevenly cut in some places, but I like the design.

Ring # 2

I could take or leave the two-tone look, but these details are lovely to me. It seemed distinctive enough that I was hoping someone may recognize the work.

Ring # 3

I liked the stackable look to this, and I think I''ve seen someone on PS with a design that was a ring combination before, I just don''t know much about it.

Ring 4

I like so many things about this ring, but it seems a little strange to me. Maybe it is in rose gold, or maybe it is because it was attached to a spam website when I was looking for images of asscher diamonds, but this seems like it would be really lovely if there were some upgrades done.

I encourage everyone to give me input, no matter how brief or unhelpful you think it may be!

First of all, I''m sorry about your grandfather. Cancer is such a horrible illness..

As for your questions.. For the second ring, I would consider looking at Simon G rings. They use rose/yellow gold in some of their designs. I tried to find the ring on their site, but it didn''t come up. Still, I think it would be worth your time to look at their designs.

Also, what state do you live in. If you''re in California, let me know and I''ll give you the info of my local jeweler! Best of luck to you.

For custom - I just looked at Maytal Hannah''s website. They seem to do beautiful work as well (in two tones - gold and platinum).

Ring # 3

I liked the stackable look to this, and I think I''ve seen someone on PS with a design that was a ring combination before, I just don''t know much about it.
tierhog''s ring was a bit like this and yet not a lot like this lol - search her name :)

Ring 4 looks like Tacori styling to me but the stamp doesn''t look like it.

The 4 rings all look very different.

For rings 2 and 4, I would consider Maytal Hannah but she hand makes and the price will be slightly higher than say a cad and cast. However, her engraving and filgree work is some of the best I have seen. I typically would say Leon but these styles don''t really look like his work.

For rings 1 and 3, I think a cad and cast jeweler will work - BGD, whiteflash, etc. I would even consider using Michael E - he seems like a great jeweler based on what I have seen here and my communications with him.

Rings 2 and 4 are my favorite - the other one (the stacked rings) was a suggestion by someone. Ring number 1 seemed like the easiest to recreate. I have heard a lot about Maytal Hannah, and I think I am going to e-mail them, take a look at their pieces, and see if she is available to do some custom work for me. I posted another thread asking if any other PS''er had a Maytal ring, but so far no responses -- does anyone know of a PS''er who owns one so I can see photos? I do think by far of all of the detailing work that I have seen from reputable artists, hers is some of the absolutely most stunning. I am definitely going to investigate this further.

I have a ring from Maytal. She is off on maternity leave until May but I think she is still responding to emails. While you are getting quotes, I suggest you also reach out to Michael E and Brian Gavin Diamonds. Leon Mege almost always guarantees a perfect ring too.
