Hello there I am new here and was hoping to get some help.
I just purchased this diamond and wondering if the price is good and if it is a good buy. I have not received it yet.

This diamond was in a ring and removed sent to GIA for review and then placed in a pendant. The original report was from GSI and was just ok.
it looks pretty from the video but it looks like it has some inclusions. Price is $1900.
The diamond girdle is laser scribed "GIA 2175785880 LEO 010091420

what do you guys think?

Here are some pics also.

Can anyone help? Pretty please.

From GIA. Diamond Dossier Report.
5.66 - 5.69 x 3.53 mm, 0.71 c, E SI2, Depth 62.2, Table 57%, Polish VG, Symmetry VG, clarity based on crystal

Can you see the crystal with your eyes? Do you like this diamond pendant? It looks like is has some sparkle and life in the video. A diamond with those specs should be around ~1600-1700.

Thanks so much. I am gonna get it on wednesday. I like what I see so far. my guess is it a few hundred more to cover the ebay and paypal fees so that makes sense. it was crazy to me that it went from a g in color to an E in color. I love the sparkle. That is what I am after. I am also a sucker for knowing who cut my diamond. lol

If it were me, I'd wait and buy a better cut diamond second hand (like on Loupe Troop or Diamond Bistro). To me, the price seems high when you could have a nicer diamond. I'd also go down to G/H (or even I) for a pendant and focus on cut. Such a high color is nice, but you're paying a premium for something that your eyes may not appreciate (i.e. a G is going to be WHITE). Inclusions aren't a big deal in a pendant like they are in a ring, so it's okay to be more lax on that element, IMO.

That said, if this particular diamond really speaks to you and you love it, then get it! :)

ETA: If sparkle is what you're after, then I would focus more on cut. It doesn't have to be a super ideal or anything... just a nice GIA X.

Here is one I just found on JA... the inclusion looks scary, but zoom all the way out (and even that will be MUCH larger than IRL)... as you can tell, it will be clean in a pendant.

This diamond appears much better cut than the Leo, the HCA is 0.8, it has well-defined arrows, it's an H (which will be white) with M fluoro (so will appear even whiter under certain lighting conditions), it's larger than the Leo you found at 5.75 mm, and it's less expensive at $1650. That would leave you some room to set it in a pendant.

...and it should sparkle like mad!

Thanks so much I will check that out. I was thinking the cut wasn’t so good. But I agree I don’t need an E color. We shall see what it looks like when it comes. I appreciate your advice

Leo diamonds have extra facets cut into them to make them appear to be more twinkle-y. Sixty-six instead of 57-58.

Wow that is a lot more. Can’t wait to see it hope I am not disappointed in the cut grade.
It will be here tomorrow
