It has definite potential, can you ask Jogia if they can provide an ASET image and a detailed photo of the diamond? What are the colour and clarity?

With the assumption that a 3.2% girdle is not more than "slightly thick" this diamond scores AGA Cut Class 1A. It is very likely to be a fine stone for you to take a good look at buying.

Hi Lorelei and Oldminer =)

i''m going to see the diamond today at lunch time... I''m too excited for my own good.

Anyway, it''s a G colour, VVS1 clarity.

Hope the attachment works! (fingers crossed

Hmmm i want to upload the microscopic image at 40x lens but the file is too big. Is the ASET enough information for you (diamond experts) to tell me if it''s a good diamond????

Cindy

Ok i got it to work

Looks really good from the ASET. I''d go for it.

Ok i saw the diamond...I have put down a deposit on it and barring any unfortunate circumstances, it should be mine! =)

I have some questions that you frequent PS-ers might ba able to help me with...

This princess cut diamond looks completely different to the princess diamond on my e-ring... While my e-ring looks icy white, this diamond actually looks like a myriad of colours and not as white as my e-ring stone (which is D colour).

And this diamond is 10 pts larger than my e-ring stone but when put side by side they are almost identical in length and width!!!!

Can someone explain?

Cindy

I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you mean the new one then it could be the differences in cut you are noticing and the lighting you saw it in, that it showed more in the way of fire than your original diamond. A G colour will still be very white, some eyes might notice the difference between G and D though if they have owned both. As to the face up size, carat weight and depth do not necessarily equal face up size or spread. The AGS0 Princess is top cut and the weight will be distributed appropriately, your other diamond might be facing up a little large for the weight as Princess and other fancy shapes can hold weight differently to rounds for example, no real way to tell but rest assured the new Princess is extremely well cut.

Lorelei,

You are the bomb!! You always manage to answer all my questions hehehe

Yes, i do LOVE

the new Princess...I am going to wear it as a ring for one year (in a Tiffany Lucida setting), and then re-set it into a haloed-princess pendant to wear on my wedding day (to match my e-ring of course).

Ok enough yapping from me, i need to go home to my lovely FI!

I''m still so excited!! I''m glad everyone told me to buy it!!!

I think it''s quite a good price as well, only AUD $2300 for a 0.69 ct G VVS1 stone!!

cindygenit,

That is a really lovely looking princess, I''m so glad it is all yours now! I love the idea of wearing it for a year, then having it set as a pendant (like your e-ring) to wear on your wedding day! Of course, you know that I am in love with your e-ring (I''ve told you this before). Congrats, congrats, congrats to you!
