Hi all. I ready to buy a ring and as soon as possible, probably order it by Sunday and need to have it in 2 weeks in time for my travel. I have no experience in buying a diamond as well as choosing the right one for the budget. Could you please help pick the right one.

I read some of the materials here at Pricescope on what to look for a diamond. As I understand it, the cut is the most important thing in a diamond, so I would like to choose a diamond with an ideal cut.

Below are the specs I''m looking for, feel free to comment and provide your advice.

Cut: ideal
Carat: at least 1.0
Color: G
Clarity VS2
Shape: round

My budget is around $6000 USD.

I quickly searched the above specs among these online retailers and run the HCA on them, These are the cheapest on the search results, the budget are a little bit stretched with these results:

Could you please comment on these selections and if they are good for the price. I am also open to any suggestions and if you could provide an alternative, a well specs for the budget. I don''t have any preference and open to other online retailers as long as they are reputable and reliable.

I also read here that other retailers are offering discounts to pricescope members, any idea how to get that?

Thank you and looking forward to read your comments.

Both look good from the numbers but WF ACA has images that confirms the cut performance and optical symm of the stone. ACA is WF''s branded H&A cut, so commands some extra premium, WF also has an upgrade policy which BN does not have.

Thanks Stone-cold11 for a quick reply. I am trying to stay within the budget. What do you think if I change the clarity to SI1. The rest of the criteria remains the same. Is it best to change the clarity rather than color to meet the budget?

What can you say about this?

My next questions are:
- I noticed when I link the item from this board to WF, it shows a PS discount. Does WF give discount for the setting also if I buy both from them?
- Does WF adjust the ring if it does not fit? If yes, how much? I tried to search this question on their FAQ but I can not find any information or missed it.

Thanks.

For me, as long as eye-clean and the clarity will not be an issue to durability, I would go lower clarity.

This stone looks good too from the IS/ASET. Ask WF if it is eye-clean and maybe get a retake of the Hearts image for the stone.

No idea about the setting discount by they should do ring sizing for free at least once. So just call and ask.

All have potential, it depends on you and whether you would prefer the pedigree of the ACA h&a or are ok with just a well cut diamond. Whiteflash and James Allen provide images to help you with your selection, BN do not. Also both WF and JA have upgrade policies ( the terms and conditions of each vary though so read up on both) whereas BN do not so if an upgrade is a future possibility, you might want to factor that into your decision.
