Hello,

I found two asschers I am ready to buy. The first is an I color VVs2 1.59, and the other is a K color 2.0 VVs2. Both stones are GIA graded Excellent symmetry and polish.
These diamonds are in a different state. I am told by the diamond dealer that the I color has an "off-white" shade and that comparing the
two diamonds the K color is a better color. I am confused...how is the K a better color than the I? Also, the K has slightly more spread about 30 mm and does look like a bright beautiful stone though I am a bit nervous about the K color. Your advice is much appreciated.

Do you have links to these stones? Actual photos of the two stones?

I'm wondering if there may have been some misunderstanding. Perhaps they only meant that the K appeared brighter because of it's better cut than the I. It's not unusual for better cut stones to appear whiter and brighter in their fact up position then stones with a better color grade..

Thank you for your comment. Looks like they sold the " I" stone right from under me. I kinda feel like they are pushing the K because they
knew they could sell the I easily. Dang, that was great stone....

I agree on this... I'd have to see it. Waiting on the links...

FYI: This has a newer thread now.
