Need advice on a diamond recut

! would consider cutting it to a kick butt 60/60 cut and saving some size over an ideal cut.
Now the girdle or variation on the crown may prevent it but a pavilion only recut to 40.7 with 80% lgf% would turn it into a kicken 60/60 stone with the least amount of weight loss but it might not be possible.
Even if you have to move the crown a bit to clean up the girdle you would lose far less size than going to a modern ideal cut.

Picture of your current diamond?
And can they provide pictures of that they ‘think’ they can do?
what is a 60/60 stone?!

Approximately 60% table 60% depth.
When well cut they can be great but a bit of a different look than the super-ideal cuts favored by many here.
In general over a wide range of lighting they favor white light return over fire but in the right lighting can have awesome fire.
Its a slightly different balance of performance then a modern ideal/super-ideal cut.

funny enough i have no pictures of the stone and its a SWDC now! hopefully they'll do some before and afters shots!

Welcome.
AGS has a list of angles that work well for a 60/60 stone that gets ags0 they are not the only good combos but if they want to explore it, its a good starting point if it can not be just pavilion re-cut.

Did you recut to an OEC? I was going to suggest that as I was reading this post as the pavilion angle is 41.4 which means it can be recut to a very nice old cut faceting.
