The wedding is 2 weeks from today and I am in a snit fit about my wedding ring ... the one that I have YET TO PURCHASE! My heart is set on an anny band with 5 stones, 1.5 or less tcw, round diamonds with shared prong setting in 14 kt white gold.

I''m actually paralyzed with anxiety about buying the ring because I want to make a great choice. I''ve asked for help from several e-vendors, including WF and signedpieces, and have gotten prompt replies ....but I can''t seem to lock in a decision and make the purchase.

I''m desperate for some help to get me off the indecision hump and buy the ring and be done with it.

If you were me and the clock was ticking, what would you do? (Drink heavily has already been suggested

When you wake up from drinking heavily, call one of the two people you have been working with and see if they can still do it in time, then if the answer is yes, cut the check and get it ordered!

Instantly you will feel better and plus you will still have a chance of having the wedding ring in time for the wedding.

Or you could go with some sort of temp ring, like tin foil. Take the pressure off now, and you can think about it at leisure... (I don't know if this is an actual option, but it's probably better for ya than drinking that much. Heck, EATING the tin foil is probably better for ya than drinking that much!)

Thanks, Wink! The other option I have is to wait until next Friday for my right hand cocktail ring to be finished .... it's a 1.87 ct Richard Homer Burmese round sapphire set between two .60 diamonds on a 18kt wg mounting with an additional 1 ct of melee .... I think the husband-to be would wet his pants if I did that !

That sounds like an absolutely lovely wedding ring to me... and you wanted 5-stone, right? it's all in how you count it: one center, two .6 sides, one left-side-melee, and one right-side melee. sounds like five to me!

I like the idea of using a temp band if time has run out. Heck you could borrow your mothers and that could count as 'something borrowed.'

I think this is a GREAT idea. When I got married (many years ago!), I used my mother's first wedding band. I don't wear it anymore, but I intend on passing it down to my daughter someday.

Well ... thanks to all for their input, but in the end, Wink's advice inspired me to pick up the phone and order the ring.

Here's what this "encore bride" will be sporting July 2:

From signedpieces, I bought a 1.03 ctw, shared prong anny band with 5 round diamonds set in 14 kt white gold. Stones are VVS, F-G and I've been promised that the ring will be shipped to arrive in my hot little mitts one week from today ! This is plenty of time for the wedding.

Of course I will post pics on the hand. Thus far, the signedpieces experience has been pleasant .. no complaints.

In regards to the sapphire/diamond Richard Homer goodie that will be ready at the local jewelers next week, I will post pics of that one as well. As noted above, it will be a beauty with a Burmese round blue sapphire and almost 2 cts of side stones and melee to make, as Richard says,
"the sapphire sing."

Richard Homer's work is by far the best advertisement for it. I bet that thread of it has driven a lot of interest his direction -- I wasn't even planning on buying more jewlery for a good long time!
