Hi Guys, I am newbie and so happy came across this forum. I started looking for a nice diamond for an engagement ring and after a little bit of research realized how much I don't know and so many factors influence the diamond beyond the 4C's. Recently learned about the HCA numbers but after reading a bit more realized it a rejection tool not so much select the right diamond.

I am looking for a 2 carat, I or better and VS1 or above and my budget is about $20k for the diamond
Can you please tell my if any of these diamonds are good?

All are strong contenders, but my top 2 picks, in order are Adiamor #4

And
Adiamor #2

Two reasons:
1. Smaller table to give more crown facet action, resulting, in some lighting, more rainbow flash with white scintillation.
2. No Flurescence. An “I” should still face up white in almost all lighting environments, and the tiny table will steal the show!

At this point, it’s going to come down to personal preference, and what your intended would consider more important.

If you are unable to view Ideal Scope & H&A images on the certificates, request them for each stone, ESP Adiamor #4 & #2.
Those images will help you see any glaring light leakage and inconsistencies with cut.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply...I really appreciate it. I have asked for Ideal Scope & H&A images for the two diamonds and will report back.

Also, what do you think about this diamond?

Thanks

This would be eliminated ONLY because the table is larger.
That’s MY preference, but you have to decide what appeals to you and your intended.
It falls under your budget, which would give you more toward the setting, but you have to determine which you would want to sink more money into: the diamond or the setting. Or BOTH???
All are good candidates, and I’n sure you’ll get responses from others who have more experiences pertaining to MRB’s, preferred angles, and table %.
I prefer tables between 50%-57% on round stones.
