Im having a pendant hopefully made soon, and Im a little worried about the softness/durability of an everyday necklace made in platinum. Would white gold wear stronger than a platinum necklace made in the same way??
Less wear issues with chains and pendants because they don't get bashed around like rings do. If you can find what you're looking for, it's a no brainer.
Platinum chains are harder to find but way better in terms of strength.
Nearly all white gold chains are yellow with rhodium plating, especially the Italian manufactured ones.
A pendant will saw through the rhodium finish on WG chains fairly quickly if it is heavy enough. The platinum won't show much wear and should re-polish easily.
