I''m so excited; the ring is on its way here. It seems like forever. It was FedExed out tonight. I guess the next step is a phone call from Customs to have me pay the Canadian taxes. I think this is the way it must happen. I''ll be hanging around the phone tomorrow waiting for that call.
I never thought of them collecting at the door. I should have thought of the possible delay at Customs. Awww.Date: 3/17/2010 10:38:20 AM

Usually whoever is delivering it (often with FedEx it is Purolator) just show up at my door and collect the duty and taxes or if I have to pick it up, I pay them when I pick it up and they remit the duties/taxes to Canada Revenue.
The downside is sometimes things get held up longer in Customs (i.e. a couple days), even with overnight shipping and even though generally they go via a Customs broker. I do hope your ring comes today though!

It really feels like forever because I''ve been without my WB since the middle of February when I mailed it to Brian so he had it to work with. I don''t wear rings at home but every time I went out I felt naked without my rings. It just seemed weird wearing the e-ring alone so I didn''t wear anything.

Maybe you will get it today anyway, that is why I said I did not want to worry you
I forgot to put my wedding ring back on this morning after my run/shower and my finger feels a bit naked. Not first time I have done that and it always feels a bit odd to be out and about without it on. So, going without for a month would be a long time for me too!
