Both are the same price, both triple zeros. Both AGS certs attached below. Which one do you think is the nicer/better stone?

The 0.703:
slightly more brightness
slightly more light leakage
brightness less symmetrical
slightly smaller in carat weight
better clarity VS1
worse color G

The 0.722:
slightly less brightness
slightly less leakage
more symmetrical brightness
bigger in carat weight
worse clarity VS2
better color F

I'm currently leaning towards the 0.722 because it is larger and the symmetrical brightness. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

They both cut really well...I'd go for the .72 because it faces up slightly bigger...

Thanks! That's what I was kinda thinking too. It has a small chip though. But I talked to someone at AGS and try said it doesn't effect the strength or durability of the stone. And the chip is sooo tiny. Safer than feathers too.

Do chips/feathers in the corner of princesses increase risk of breaking the whole diamond? Or just those big ones in the centre?

chips and feathers do increase the risk, but it's possible to have one and have it set well so that it doesn't cause further damage. I didn't see this problem with either of the stones you have above...

The 0.722 has an extremely tiny chip inclusion on the bottom right corner. It's also the third inclusion which I'm guessing is the least of the three and it's graded vs2 which should indicate that it should be okay, right?

The .72

I'd confirm with the gemologist of the vendor just to be sure it won't be a problem. I'd say probably not, but I am not a gemologist....

I managed to speak to a gemologist of 30 years that works at AGS and she said that it is fine. It's so small and its the last inclusion they listed so I'm guessing its not a big deal at all. And it's vs2 so can't be bad can it?

Just heard mixed reactions to chip inclusions so I'm a bit weary. If its fine I don't care, I think it's the better stone but just wanted opinions about both of them and also the chip inclusion

I like the light report better on the .72 ct diamond.

How do you tell if the light report is good or not? Just preference I guess? Or is there a specific thing to look out for?
