First one is a 1.9 H VS1 ideal cut princess with the following numbers:

Depth % 78.2
Table % 58.3
Crown Angle 36.1
Star 0.0
Pavilion Angle 40.6
Crown % 13.7
Lower Girdle % 0.0
Measurements 6.74x6.64x5.19
Culet Pointed
Fluorescence Negligible
Girdle Medium to Slightly Thick

Second is a 2.036 H VS1 ideal cut princess:

Depth % 74.0
Table % 65.9
Crown Angle 35.4
Star 0.0
Pavilion Angle 40.5
Crown % 10.9
Lower Girdle % 0.0
Measurements 7.06x6.94x5.14
Culet Pointed
Fluorescence Negligible
Girdle Thin to Medium

The second is much more expensive, however. Worth the extra cost?

I'd really appreciate your help guys!

Personally I'd always go for the bigger one...BUT, there's absolutely no way for us to recommend either stone without seeing at least a picture. If you could get aset images that'd be ideal.

Do you have the ASET images? Are these AGS graded?
It's hard to judge princess on numbers..

The 2.03 is probably considerably more expensive because it crosses the 2ct threshold.

Regarding cut, the numbers don't tell very much with fancy shape diamonds. The 1.9 does seem a bit deep at 78%, but without an ASET, one can't say for sure that it negatively impacts looks and light performance.

Looks to me like the 1.911ct will have more scintillation while 2.036ct will have more brightness, though something like scintillation is hard to judge from a still image.

Most important is identifying light leakage in an ASET, and it looks like both of these do great, though the 1.911 lets just a tiny bit though.

Next is the red reflection, which is the optimal light angle reflected back. Here, the stones start to diverge. The 2.036 has a ton of red in the center, which will make the diamond look very bright. The 1.911 doesn't have as much in the center, but has more red going out to the corners. Thus, it'll look brighter across the whole stone. That said, both of these are well-cut in terms of light return.

Lastly (and most subjectively), you can judge the contrast (in black) and the faceting pattern. You can see the 1.911 has clearly defined contrasting (black) facets, which will likely turn on and off between contrast and light reflection as you tilt the stone (this is scintillation). The 2.036 doesn't have as many contrast facets available to turn on, but more of the center will be on at any given time, making it look brighter. Again, this is just an educated guess, as you'd need to see them in person or in video side-by-side to verify.

Also, contact WF and put these on hold before someone else takes one.

Wow thank you for that! Great write up.

It's such a large purchase that I'm a bit hesitant. Can't quite pick the perfect thing.

Is there a particular time of the year to buy diamonds cheaper for whatever reason?

Since both are cut so well, and are same in color and clarity, I'd definitely go with the bigger one! It will be noticeably bigger than the 1.91....only by a little, but there's definitely a difference in the mm's...
