Hello PSers, we’ve narrowed down to two stones, so I am reaching out to you folks for the final round. I’ve learned so much from reading everyone’s posts. Every post and comment has been invaluable. Thank you.

The first stone is from Grace:

The second stone is from Emily. It is a 1.14 G VS1 for $11070. GIA report is https://www.gia.edu/report-check?reportno=5202902893

These stones are very different in personality aside from being OECs, G color and having good clarity. Is there a reason you have settled on these two? If it is a choice between these two, #1 hands down.

One thing to be mindful of for #1 - it is almost cusion-like to my eyes because of the dimensions. (It isn't a perfect circle.) I really like OECs like that, but wanted to call it out. It seems to be a nice face up size for an OEC? Maybe? Honestly not sure...It'll certainly appear larger than the 2nd stone. It is a very pretty stone to my eyes, but there are other ppl with more experience who may chime in soon.

The floral faceting is pretty on #2, but I really don't care for how large the table is. It looks rather flat and dark to me to be honest.

**Edit - large tables are not inherently bad (in fact mine is a bit bigger than a lot of people prefer on PS) - but in this instance I don't think it is great, at least not to my eyes

We decided on these two, because we want a stone that will look nice in a white solitaire compass setting. We bought one ring from Grace, It was an AGS J and was noticeably warm to us, so we returned it.

I was worried about the center too. I tried uploading a video for this post, but couldn't. I'll try again if you don't mind taking a look :)

Of course! I get it - I also just searched for my own high color OEC and snagged an E color from Grace too - they are hard to find! I do really like #1!

Will definitely take a peek at anything else you share, and i am sure others will too!

Can I ask, who is Emily?

That second stone is showing too much darkness for my taste.

Did you talk to Adam at old world diamonds?

G 1.61 from Grace, hands down. That is a gorgeous stone. And I love the OEC faceting in a pillowing cushion outline. A G will face up super bright and white. The center faceting of the smaller one looks too disorganized and lacking in symmetry. Of course, just from my own preference, I would want to see somewhat organized faceting, be it flowery or checkboard, which is the whole point of OECs. Otherwise, I'll just go buy a poorly cut MRB.
