Hello,

After doing more research and seeing a Hearts and Arrows diamond in person I have narrowed my selection down to 2 choices.
Diamond 1 was inspected to be a low G color with slight warmth face up.
Diamond 2 has a small crystal in the middle of the table that is said to be white and will be eye clean.
Prices listed below

Based on the ideal scopes, H&A pics, and color I'm leaning more towards DIamond 1. What are your thoughts.

Diamond 1
AGS triple Ideal 1.36 G VVS2 Round HCA 1.3 $16000
Depth %:61.50
Table %:55.80
Crown ∠: 34.60
Crown %:15.20
Pavilion ∠:40.80
Pavilion %: 43.10
Culet:NN
Fluorescence:Negligible
Girdle: Thin-Medium

Gemologist said low G color with very, very slight warmth face up. The light performance on this diamond is also very good, with great brilliance and sparkle.

Diamond 2
GIA 1.43 G VS2 HCA 1.4 $13625
Symmetry:Excellent
Polish:Excellent
Cut: Ideal
Depth %:62.40
Table %:55.00
Crown ∠: -34.5
Crown %:- 15.0
Pavilion ∠:-40.8
Pavilion %: - 43.0
Culet:NN
Fluorescence:None
Girdle: Medium-Slightly Thick

Gemologist Inspection said faces up white and that the light performance and sparkle are very good. Plus, the diamond is well balanced and symmetrical. Also, the crystal is clear/white and blends well to that the diamond will be eye-clean

they both look very nice. Did the gemologist have a preference? I think that I would choose diamond two, at $2500 less it sounds as though it faced up whiter, and I wouldn't want to pay the premium for a VVS2 stone. They are both beautiful though, so you really can't go wrong.

Thanks for the input Christina, I'm waiting to hear back from the gemologist on which preference they have between the 2. Initially I was leaning towards Diamond 1 as the H&A and Ideal scope images look slightly better than diamond 2. But now it is more of a matter between the slight warmth in Diamond 1 vs the inclusion in Diamond 2 which is said to be eye clean (but I can sort of see it in the IS and it might bother me)... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Any one else care to shed some insight

they both look pretty good to me! I think you should go with the whiter (and cheaper) stone...the inclusion shouldn't be noticeable

Thanks for your input, The gemologist at JA said one diamond did not stand out above the other diamond. Because the two diamonds were so similar they actually recommended going with the cheaper option as it is slightly larger and a better "bang for the buck"

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing the finished ring!! :appl:
