It''s another one from Bob Kast (vallejo916), and cut in the same Americana cut as my blue topaz. It is natural, untreated, alluvial water-worn material from North Carolina. He actually told me it was the most beautiful stone he''s ever cut, and has never seen a natural stone with these tones - silvery in indirect light, light blue with violet tones in direct sunlight. As usual, I took way too many pictures.

In some sun, but it was hard to capture the blue.

That again is the same cut as my aqua he did for me. Nice stone. What are your plans for it? The 8x8 Legacy LOGR?

Just a wee bit of fire.

More vallejo stones.

Still trying to figure out how to set these. The included morganite looks worse than it is - the inclusion gets reflected around the stone and ends up looking like a spider web. The white topaz takes on a flesh-tone next to rose gold, so I''m wondering about yellow?! I have no idea.

More. Like my spider-web morganite?!

I don''t really know yet, TL. Got any ideas? I don''t want to do another legacy setting.

Thanks Linda! Have any ideas for me?

What a neat stone! I don''t have any setting ideas tho, sorry! Is it for another RHR? Do you have a yg setting to put it by?

I like alot! i really like that cut!

Hey cellentani - Very nice stones from Bob Kast. You are on a roll lately as well. Do you want everything to become rings, or are pendants, bracelets or earrings a possibility?

Nice..like the pic with all the stones together..very cool

Hi packrat! I wish I had a nice yellow gold setting to put it next to, but all I have is a really cheap, thin ring. Maybe I''ll try it tomorrow.

Thank you D&T! I do really like his cushions, but then, I just like cushions in general. Maybe it''s time for me to branch out a little, huh?

Hi Fly Girl

. I guess I''ve been on a small gemstone roll, but unlike me, you''re actually getting projects completed. I tend to like rings the best, but maybe because they''re the easiest to find. I would love a pendant too, but it''s much harder to find one I like, unless I go custom. And that means $$$. Sigh, if only I didn''t have to put any kids through college.

Thanks for your nice comments, amethystguy!

Wow, what beautiful stones.

Ooooo, all of your stones are beautiful!!

Looks lovely! Can''t wait to see how you set it!

Beautiful!

That stone is really lovely. It doesn''t have the stark bright white of a topaz. I think it can even pass for a diamond.

What a stunning collection! That stone looks good in the LOGR setting.

Mega ditto, don''t think I''ve ever seen a colourless stone in that setting, it looks lovely.

Thanks for all of your really nice comments, everyone - very sweet of you to post.

And while I don''t think it looks bad in the LOGR legacy, I''m wondering if it imparts too much grey. There''s a gem show coming up - I may need to experiment with different colored settings since I don''t have any empty ones sitting around. I hate to put $$ into having settings that aren''t being used, but I''m beginning to see the benefits.
