Ok, I don''t have much time now since its getting late... but I did include a pic of the ring

As you can see its absolutely fantastic. I can''t thank the team at GOG enough, exellent to work with. I was so excited to get it, I drove to CT (where I had it shipped...) tonight after work just to get it.

Can''t wait to give it to her. More pics to come.. Taking pictures, MUCH harder than anticipated. I usually take good pictures of things... but something this close is very difficult and will take some practice.... I am much more impressed with some of the photos seen here after trying to take some.

Details on Ring...

1.23 H VS2
Sides are .14 each for the close ones .09 each for the further ones.

Platnium setting (non branded GOG put together)

I LOVE IT.

Great pics!! Thanks for posting these. I was just asking about settings with side stones the other day. Your picture answered my question. Congrats on the nice ring!

Ditto! Nice job! She will be the envy of all her friends.

I think this is what I LOVE about this board -- seeing the whole process from decision making, to buying, and I LOVE IT when someone posts a picture of the final product. Yipee!!!! (and thanks!)

That's beautiful!!! I can't think of too many five-stone rings I've seen posted around here -- very unique, yet elegant. Wow! Congratulations!!!!

Kris

By the way, your pictures are very good -- I hate to ask, but if you're inclined to take more pictures, it'd be nice to see it tipped just a little toward one side or the other, I can't really tell see the two side diamonds together, or the prong arrangement on those side-stones. It looks like three prongs on the end diamonds, but can't tell how the inner ones are set.....

Oh, that's gorgeous! Good job!

Eeeeewwww Doggies! That is one gorgeous ring!

Besides all the fire and color, I really like the side stones idea. At first I thought they were pears. Neat idea to graduate 2 rounds on each side! Very unique!

Hi Chris,

Your ring ROCKS! That is one of my favorite settings with diamonds. Just enough, but not too much, and your center stone balances it out beautifully. Thanks so much for letting us be of help during this time and please send our warmest regards to your mom too.

ooooooh, I love this last picture..

it's a beeeautiful ring! She is going to love it!!

Heres another one dead on that really sparkled. Hopefully these two answers the questions about how high how put together. basically i think its medium height. Certianly not low, but there are higher. I would say the same about the sidesones. The close ones are 4 pronged and the further two are 3 prongs. And they do share the prongs.

I think I'm playing with the ring more than she will LOL

btw can I say how much I love digital cameras! so far prolly 25 pics of the ring to come up with 4-5 good ones. Just think how much film I'd kill.

Your ring is so beautiful; I just love your diamond mounting. Isn't GOG a joy to work with?

Congratulations on your engagement and all the best to you and your new fiancée.
