My Titanium Spinel Ring

I finally had my stone set in this ring, it used to have a very boring citrine. The 10x8 titanium blue spinel looks a little dark but it is very sparkly and outside it is very much lighter. The picture is outside but I couldn''t get a light enough shot.I do really like the setting and it has a tiny diamond on the side as well.One picture more next page.

That's a nice piece! The setting looks pretty nice and really complements the spinel. Is that small diamond set to the side original to the ring or did you have it set?

leggs: I have to plead complete ignorance on this one....I''ve never heard of or seen blue spinel before (I guess I''m just a babe-in-the-woods when it comes to the gem world), but your ring, and the blue stone is just lovely. I really like the unique asymmetrical design.

The Spinel is faceted, my jewelry photography needs lots of practice.

Yes love all the colours of spinel too, this stone actually I was looking more for a steel blue shade but hey I''ll take this nice almost sapphire blue anyday.

I really need to thank all the forum experts and posters for the courage to try out something different with success.
