Hello,
First of all I wanted to say how helpful I have found this site to be as a hopeful future groom. In fact, it is how I was introduced to Steven Kirsch's work and got the sign-off from my GF. Frankly, I never write reviews but I wanted to share my experience in hopes that it would be useful to others and also convey my thanks to Steven.
Steven was a complete joy and class-act to work with, period. I submitted the online request for a quote from his website and he responded within 24 hours. Since I an frequently in NYC, I scheduled an in-person meeting a couple weeks later. Though, I would have been comfortable doing the entire transaction via the phone/email after the process was over. Steven was incredibly patient in taking the time to understand what I was trying to accomplish and my time frame. In the 25 emails we corresponded, he promptly responded within a couple hours. Sometimes only minutes later.
Steven completed the ring a full week ahead of his initial timeline though it is clear that the work wasn't rushed. The ring came out spectacular in my opinion. The design is inspired by a setting on his website that he produced for another client. I hope she takes that as a huge compliment.
Here is the final result:
The center stone is a 2.26 D VVS1 Oval Brilliant. Steven used 146 round, F VS1 super ideal cut diamonds for the pave. The halo has two rows; one horizontal and one vertical. The stems each have 3 rows of mushroom pave. The shank is 1.8mm and is covered 3/4 with pave in order to allow for resizing.
Let me know your thoughts and I'll try to answer any questions.
