I finally got some photos of the finished product. I hope everyone likes it. My sister is far more modern than most of the traditional things I like. Maytal came up with a great platinum design for a pretty unusual cut. :) The ring is quite heavy since the the band and head or so dense.

The stone is a Richard Homer cut 3.12 Spessartite.

nice! what did sister say when she saw it?

Just so that this thread shows up in later searches... It''s Maytal Hoftman, only it''s not anymore since Hoftman was her maiden name.... Married name is Maytal Hannah, website at www.maytalhannah.com (it works now).

I''ve no connection to Maytal other than as a customer (the ring is almost finished

Crap...

When someone originally told me about her the spelled it the way I was spelling it....and she has been gracious enough not to correct me... UHG.

Thanks for the info. I wish we could change/edit the topics of our postsZ!

Her website is coming together very nicely...

Awesome ring. Beautiful stone. Love the simple modern setting. Thanks for sharing.

Whoa!! I really love the modern setting, it matches the personality of your stone perfectly. Your sister is lucky to have you!

That is a stunning trilliant spess!!!

Simply beautiful. That stone is amazing, looks like it''s on fire! Your sister is so fortunate to have a brother like you in her life :-)

Maytal did a great job matching the setting to that stone. Her new site is beautiful, too.

Ooh, very unique and pretty!
