Stats:

1. .50/E/VS2 Leo. My husband gave this to me while we were dating, but before we were engaged. My first meaningful diamond and I don''t think I''ll ever get rid of it even though it''s from the mall

Set in platinum and size 3.75.

2. .84/K/SI1 H&A. This is my upgrade from last year. Diamond and setting by David Fairclough Fine Jewelers. Set in 18K yellow gold and size 3.75.

3. 2mm platinum milgrain band from Tiffany''s. Size 4.

4. 2mm 18K yellow gold Lucida band from Tiffany''s. Size 3.75.

I don''t know if the .50 is in it''s forever home yet

I love having options and it''s been in a solitaire pendant, three-stone, solitaire ring and now this. I really wanted something to go with my milgrain band and so that''s how the current setting was born.

I had my e-ring lowered because I found I was knocking it around too much at work and at home so I figured it was the best option. I love the setting - it''s substantial but flowy at the same time.

Your promise ring is soooo beautiful and the fact that it has such an important sentimental meaning for you...makes it even better!
The K stone looks great too! I have an E color diamond on my ER and i wish for a K or lower color for my next diamond purchase

(from GOG if i get lucky

).
In the mean time, i just gave my ER to my jeweller for the same reason that you did...It was set way too high and it was getting stuck in my pockets, etc...It really was difficult to deal with it day to day...So i''m waiting now until Wednesday afternoon that i''ll get it back

I hope it turns out as lovely as your upgrade ring

I love your re-sets. I like a low set centre stone for the same reason, I am too rough with my hands. I really like the look of the lowered stone, it''s lovely.
