My santa sweetie gave me a surprise!

I haven't been on PS much lately - been happily enjoying the baubles I have! My hubby surprised me with this beautiful diamond and natural ruby band on Christmas. We had seen a similar one in NYC last year and passed on it, and I think we both have regretted it ever since! I really love this one - have to decide whether to resize it to wear with my WF five-stone wedding band or keep it the size it is and wear it on my right hand. It means so much to me, as it was such a thoughtful gift and a complete surprise! The rubies are clear and deep red and amazing - my first ruby jewelry! I'll post pics later of it with my 5-stone and see what everyone thinks as far as wearing it with that or alone.

Thanks ladies! I really love it. Here it is with my five stone. Too much? It's a little too large so it sits a little higher next to the five stone than it would if it were sized correctly. I worry the stones in my wedding band might rub this new band if they are side by side.

Katiedid -- that's beautiful! You have the sweetest husband! I think you now need an accompanying band to stack with it since your diamond band is a bit tall/wide for it. I feel that a plain white metal band of about the same height/width would look really lovely next to it. Enjoy this gorgeous ring!

I love the idea of a stack, but think your diamond band looks fab alone. Maybe wear the ruby and diamond band on the right hand and work on adding to it (more bands of the same width) for future occasions.

Very pretty band! I think it would lovely as a stacker for your right hand, with a thin diamond band & a thin WG band. I also have a five stone & have found it looks best with a plain band. Great gift & great hubby

You are all so sweet - thank you! I think I agree that it might look best on its own. I do have a skinny diamond stacker that I could wear with it on my right hand if I really wanted to stack it. I think the five stone doesn't look quite right with it and I don't have the finger space to add a third band!

My hubby is indeed a sweetheart and he did an extra good job this time! So glad I could share with all of you!

On a side note, I bought myself a pair of diamond studs from James Allen just before Christmas - I wanted an in between size pair (I have a larger pair and a small baby bezel pair) so I got the 1/2 ctw size and they're gorgeous. The packaging that JA does is AMAZING. Best I've ever seen!
