My ruby sitting on my phones flashlight.

At first i thought the ruby was carved like a scarab. Its my opinion that its carved pre facet to a step cut. Just a theory. The ruby glows extreme under UV light. The photo im going to show is the stone sitting on my phone with the flashlight on...is this how a natural ruby should look and is the color right for Burma?
