Congrats! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine.

Madame Bijoux -- I too am looking at RAs at Kellmers. He even mentioned yours as one he just sold. Did you look at the others he had?

I can''t wait to see it!!!

Hi, Stevied and Miranda!
I've been looking at Kellmer's RA'S since they began carrying them (I stop in at least once a week, mostly on Saturday afternoon). I waited a while to get one because I was hoping that other stores in the area would also get them and maybe make the prices more competitive. When I saw this stone, I knew it was the one for me. They told me that the setting should be finished by the end of July or early August.

Did you see the 1.88 H SI1 he has? He said it''s an excellent cut but I''m dubious about H and very dubious on SI1. (I haven''t been in yet).

Aren''t all Royal Asschers ''excellent'' cut?

I saw the H, and I saw the body color in it. I didn''t see the GIA certificate for it and don''t know whether all RA''S are graded as excellent in polish/symmetry. Some of the RA''S I saw were definitely more playful than others. I''m very color sensitive and doubt if I would ever go below a G. Step cut stones show their color more than the other cuts.

And they also show their inclusions more than other shapes.

Wow, it sounds fantastic and pretty spready for an asscher. I can''t wait to see it! Congrats on your purchase, you seem thrilled!!!

Thanks, Kcoursolle! I picked a cathedral type setting that has some pave'' on the sides of the shank and a small round brilliant just below the the basket. It has a slight Art Deco feel and should get along with my other goodies from the 1920''s.
