My Rose-Cut Pear

It just arrived this week, and I couldn’t be happier with my new bling. The diamond is 2.01 cts, M with blue flourescence, VS2 with the prettiest faceting I’ve ever seen in person. I love the new designs CVB has, and this one in particular really spoke to me. I’m new to warmer-colored diamonds, and I’m hooked. The ring is super comfortable, probably more so than anything else I own. I’m going to wear it solo for a while and try to decide if I want to get a contoured band to wear with it.

Now the pictures. This ring is very photogenic, so it was hard to narrow it down to a few shots.

Your ring is just lovely! I love the heavy metal engraving with the dark recessed areas...just stunning.

Ok, so I would like to make a suggestion. You might consider a band that has a gap in it where your pear is.
I believe it is called a "cuff" ring. This lovely set belongs to HS4s and can be found in this thread.

See the blue sapphire ring? For you I would have CVB make it using the pattern around your pear since your shank
is brushed gold with pave. I think the contrast of the two bands together would be lovely and you dont have
to worry about a band showing under your rose cut or going up around your pear.

I appreciate everyone’s nice comments. I’m still feeling obsessed with my new ring.

I really like the idea of creating a band with a gap to hug the center stone. Thanks for the suggestion... I’m going to seriously consider having something done after the holiday rush is past. I’ve tried stacking with various bands I already own, and the length of the pear makes it difficult. I was thinking about having Caysie make me a contoured, carved band to match the halo, but now you got me thinking other ideas.
