So, after the first visit I swore I''d never go back because I felt like I was buying a car. The whole talk to my manager, we can cut you a deal, buy today crap. Went back only because I wanted to see if they could get a setting cheaper than a small store in College Station.

Second time was Superbowl..not AS much pressure. They brought over the "design specialist" but he was very good about helping us out. When it came to the diamonds I gave him the specs of a blue nile diamond we were looking at and he started on the whole laser drilled, if anything happens we arent liable crap. Typical. After checking his stock he said we got a great deal, those rocks are 10-12 grand in his inventory(mid 5 on BN). I bought the setting and said I''d come back to have it mounted.

Went in today to pick up the setting so I could take it to WF tomorrow when I look at some diamonds. They sit me down in the lounge while they get paperwork. Then this lady comes and asks why I didnt buy the diamond from them. You know the drill. I gave her specs she said the Regional VP was in and he could make things happen that they couldn''t. (The guy looked to be wayy too young to be an RVP) Comes back and of course can''t match it. She tells me she still believes they are the best deal. Then another manager comes and says to bring it back after WF mounts it to make sure they didn''t mess it up and void the warranty. So after more crap and finally telling her no I got to leave with my setting.

90 minutes later..but not before arguing about getting my mounting fee back(Customer Service thought my CZ was a mounted diamond) and them adding $100 to the setting price I was told over the phone by the design specialist. I''m thinking about calling tomorrow and asking but really I just wanted to get out and never go bac

Are you sure you want to purchase a setting from them?

It was just easier to do with all the cleaning, warranty, resizing, etc done by them for free. I liked knowing that a major company will back up my warranty if anything goes wrong.

Guess im crazy. I'll buy the diamond from WF but need a actual store for my setting..sounds weird. I guess it is.

Most designers will provide some type of warranty, most jewelers will clean and check your ring, buy from someone you feel comfortable with and want to give business too and get insurance on your ring.
