So, after a little over a month, my engagement ring is finally done! My husband let me redesign it as a late wedding present, as the old setting wasn't really to my liking. Once we found out that the prongs were made for a much bigger diamond, that sealed the deal. Here's two "before" pictures:

The old setting was WG; three (don't know specs) diamonds on either side; the new setting has sixteen points of SI/G-1 diamonds bead set.

I kept my wedding band as is because it has sentimental value to me, even though they are different styles now- my next upgrade will include a new band, but I'll always keep this one.

And now, for some pictures...

Here''s the ring by itself- it''s so dainty (2mm) IRL:

A clearer shot- my camera either doesn''t have a macro mode or I don''t know how to work it

I like pink! It''s actually the table runner I had made for our cake table:

Thanks Albi! Here''s another hand shot!

I loooove the prongs- they''re so graceful and sweeping :)

Thanks so much everyone- I know it''s a small stone compared to PS standards, but we''re young and upgrades are far off; at least it''s big by local standards!

I love the new setting! It gives you a completely different look!

Nice ring! Very beautiful and dainty.

Very nice. I like how you retained the essentials of the old setting but made it "new."

Very very nice setting. I''d love to see a close up of your prongs, they look pretty.

You say your stone is small for PS but big by local standards. What are the specs on it?

Again, Congratulations.

Again, Congratulations.

Thanks everyone! I''m visiting family right now but I will take more pictures when I get home. From what I remember, my stone is a .86 radiant cut, E/SI1.
