My ray of sunshine

This just became available from Richard Wise. I could not stop myself, I needed a ray of sunshine

4.73ct, 10.1 x 9mm yellow beryl heliodor. Emerald cut.

Beautiful! I had a couple of yellow beryls that were a beautiful color, but they were quite inexpensive, so I imagine they were irradiated to get the color. Buying from Richard, you shouldn't have that worry. I sold mine, but maybe someday......

Beautiful stone, yellow beryl, is one of the least expensive beryls, it's fairly plentiful, and not that much demand, so it has some very easy price points.

Well, this went back. It's a pretty stone but not nearly as dark as in the photo.

I must quit posting until I have seen the stone in person.

The double refraction makes me think its a zircon not a chrysoberyl, but he says it is and he's got the stone in front of him and all I got is a picture on a screen. Worth the inquiry anyway
