My pre-loved/re-loved, blue green tourmaline in rose gold

This stone originally belonged to Arcadian. It’s a blue green tourmaline cushion from Swala, 2.93 cts and 8.3mm. It’s native cut but it’s a pretty darned good native cut. Then K9 bought it from Arcadian. I was lucky enough to nab it from K9 on DB. It’s a gorgeous stone. The original setting was a LOGR setting with stones that were . . . let’s just say . . . not ideal. I still loved it, but knew that I would reset it soon. There was no question in my mind that I would reset it in rose gold as the original setting was rose gold and it made the stone pop! I loooove my new ring. It’s from my go-to downtown LA vendor (Jewels by Nicole). They custom made it to fit my stone in 14k RG in 11 days.

That is too funny cuz I was just thinking about you because of Erini's mahenge thread! It is good to see you back in CS; this is exactly what I missed - your ability to find new stones and, whiz bang, get them set in awesome settings so quickly. As usual, great job! I think the rose gold is more pronounced on your new ring too. Very nice. Sparkle much?

A gorgeous remake that looks like it was meant to happen! It's a great classical look with a modern placement of the prongs. Great job and really suits your hand!

Oh that tourmaline is so very beautiful. I see what you mean about the first setting, dull diamonds, but I'll bet only you noticed that because everyone else was admiring the tourmaline. I've never run across such a pretty shaped and colored tourmaline in that (my fave) color.

I noticed you didn't repeat the diamonds on the band. Did they bother your fingers in the the first ring?
I am too much of a clutz to own such a nice tourmaline ring, afraid I'd damage it somehow. But if I saw that stone I'd buy it just to look at it (OK maybe make a pendant).

Actually I've always loved the look of plain shank halos. This will likely be my last CS project so I decided to get exactly what I loved and make it perfect for me. And thank you!

That exact color combination, with the rose gold bezeled around the tourm, is very striking. You did a wonderful job anticipating the final effect, and it goes so well with your skin tone. Beautiful!
