I made my niece a frou-frou birthday hat last year for her first birthday and this year I decided to make it a tradition. Her birthday was today but I didn''t get to see her because she''s been sick this weekend. I took the hat and her gift over to my parents house to drop off, where all her presents from them are anxiously awaiting her. My mom made her a beautiful quilted pillow (she LOVES pillows for some reason), that''s what the hat is sitting on. Just wanted to share!

My brother said they told her today was her birthday and she didn't seem to comprehend the birthday concept exactly.

LOVE LOVE the hat!! My best friend made a frou frou hat for her daughter''s first bday. She just turned 13 and still WANTED to put it on for a quick pic! I love the idea.

SS--I was browsing Etsy the other night and saw a ton of cute boys'' b-day hats. I know JT just had a birthday but maybe next year you can make him a crazy hat! One seller had some really fun felt ones made after characters from Alice in Wonderland and Where the Wild Things Are. Very cute.
