So this ring has been in a shop window for over 7 months. I thought about it today and thought why not. I decided to layby it. I couldn’t help but notice the velvet blue sparkles when I tried it on. I have no idea how much it’s worth. Could be at IMG_6273.jpeg329F8C9B-EF34-45DB-90BF-3893F8BFAC32.jpegleast 7ct Natural Blue Sapphire. I haven’t seen many like this but when the price is right you just have to take the chance. I looked through the loupe and can see slight inclusions and it has some abrasions to the facets but I know a great gem polisher that can fix this no issues. I can’t wait to pick it up and get a valuation done.

It really is a lovely ring! May I ask the ballpark figure of what you paid? I'll be honest, my immediate thought was that the sapphire looked like a simulant. HOWEVER, I could be way off base. The stone would need to be examined in person by an accredited G.G. I simply felt a duty to mention it jussssst in case there was a .01% chance my hunch could be correct. But again, the piece is quite handsome!

I paid $3k AUD and they also tested the gem with his gadgets. I feel pretty confident that it’s a natural sapphire. I have 4 other blue sapphires so I think it’s genuine. It had inclusions also similar to what I have with my others.
Thanks

Ok, just be careful.

But if you're satisfied, then I hope you enjoy it!!

That seems a super price!

Yes I agree it’s an amazing price. I don’t think they realise and that’s why I snapped it up.
I do believe it’s a genuine sapphire, not sure if heated. The sapphire isn’t as Royal Blue as the one you have pictured but there’s definitely that velvety royal blue when I tilt the stone around under the lights. This ring has been well worn and definitely needs a polish to make it look like new again.
