Beautiful ring! The stone looks way bigger than .80, which is already a great size!

The setting and the cut definitely help it out. I took it in to get it appraised for insurance and the appraiser initially thought it was a bit larger and whiter than it actually is. Granted we are talking about fractions of a millimeter in diameter and she did have to gauge color with the stone mounted, but it''s still nice to hear

btw gl with dodging your intended''s questions! mine has been pretty good about not asking, but i imagine as time wears on that might change... definitely agree with the silent fine print tactic

Keeping myself quiet will be hard enough, but this weekend I woke up to what could have been a disaster....a posting on my wall in Facebook from an old high school friend I haven''t talked to in ages saying "Ran into your mom, congrats on the engagement!" Needless to say I was mortified. Fortunately I saw it less than 20 minutes after it was posted so I was able to remove it before any damage could take place (at least as far as I know). This was immediately followed by a call to my mom explaining why I was a little upset after having told her not to tell anyone until after we are officially engaged.

what can ya do? they get excited.

i''ve been thinking about how and when to tell family, considering i have a few months to go. the second- and third-order effects (such as yours) worry me the most. but man... facebook? you are some sorta lucky on that one with the news feed and whatnot.

btw the pics are awesome. what a gorgeous ring. i can''t imagine what it''s like after you actually have it in your hands. i''m always amazed at how easy the arrows are to see & take pictures of... after a few stops at B&M''s it just doesn''t seem possible, ya know?
