My new untreated cabochon emerald from Pakistan

I always wanted and cabochon emerald, and finally decided to buy a small 5mm .64ct. This emerald originates from Pakistan and there is no treatment to it. It has a lovely glow that is hard to capture like people say, and outside shots do seem to slightly more yellow green that in real life. It has decent translucency that helps with the glow . Unfortunately it's gonna be a rainy next few days, so hopfully I can get some pics in sunlight soon.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pics and how there is more yellow in it than in real life. In person you can definitely tell it's and emerald, but I do love how it looks like jadeite in the pictures to

I love this setting so i'm thinking about using this setting again except in yellow gold. Still trying to figure it out .

I just got an emerald cab too! This one is from Tanzania, and it is labeled a cat's eye, but to me it doesn't have the distinct line, more like schiller...but still looks very similar to yours. I also think emerald just has a very classic look as a cab. My vision is a ' medieval italian ring' style...something simple and strong. Looking at having Sally at HOW set it. Sorry my pic isn't in good focus!
