My new (to me, thanks to Freke) 3.24 ct. pink tourmaline!

Last Sunday I was perusing the PS pre-loved jewels and happened upon Freke's mother load. I fell in love with this 3.24 ct. Gary Braun pink tourmaline, made an offer, and it arrived today!

It is so beautiful in person and I absolutely it! The color is so amazing and was exactly what I was looking for, for my new RHR project. I only have iPhone pics right now, which do not truly show it's real beauty. At some angles I do see a faint peach tint, which I am ok with. Measurements are 9.09mm x 9.04mm x 6.31mm

I am working with BGD on a diamond halo setting, similar to a Tiffany Legacy, but with a plain shank. I will post updates here as they happen. I am saving up for this, but I am hoping to have it completed and on my right hand in the next 3 months.

We had some sun here today and I looked at it in direct sunlight and WOW! I completely forgot to take pics though as I was mesmerized by the color and the sparkle! Thanks again, Freke! I am so excited! The ring will have approximately .56ctw of Brian Gavin Signature melee F/G VS in the halo, with a 3mm plain shank. Once I send the ring to BGD I'll get an exact amount of the number of melee to be used. I want it to be delicate, as I don't want the halo to overpower the gorgeous stone, just accent it.

That's really pretty, Gypsy, but not what I'm going for for this ring. Maybe another ring...
