Here''s my story.
Before my husband and I got engaged, I changed my mind a lot about what e-ring I wanted. My husband didn''t really know what to get for me. (This was 7 years ago, way before I found Pricescope. I didn''t realize that I could have been more involved in actually picking the stone and the setting.) When my husband presented me with an e-ring with a 39 pt stone, it wasn''t the ring of my dreams. I was happy to be engaged so I tried to not let it bother me that I didn''t really like the ring. Also I didn''t want to hurt his feelings. But I still yearned for the wedding set of my dreams and I was a little embarrassed that my stone was so small compared to all my friends’ rings.
I''m glad that Pricescope celebrates diamonds of all sizes.
I''ve always loved the look of the Tiffany Etoile solitaire and I planned on putting together a ring that looked as close as possible to it. Then one day Signed Pieces posted an Etoile solitaire within my price range. When I received the ring I couldn''t believe how incredibly beautiful it was. I fell in love instantly. To me a Tiffany ring still holds some mystique even though I''ve read all the posts here on Pricescope poo-pooing Tiffany''s. I know Tiffany''s diamonds are not the best I could buy, but the diamond in my ring is one of the most beautiful stones I''ve seen. I get compliments all the time on how sparkly it is even though it''s only 1/2 a carat. To me Tiffany''s semi bezel setting, the Etoile, is in every detail exactly what I wanted in a setting. I took my ring to the Tiffany''s in Seattle and they were terrific! I got excellent service even though I didn''t buy the ring from them. Within two weeks the ring was authenticated, resized and a new Tiffany valuation was produced. If I were to buy my exact ring directly from Tiffany''s I would pay almost twice what I paid Signed Pieces for it.
My husband loves the ring too and doesn''t mind that I''ve upgraded. He''s happy that I''m happy. My diamond is still the smallest diamond I see compared to my friends and on other ladies, but since I love the stone and setting so much, I''m not so embarrassed anymore. Unfortunately my original wedding band didn''t look very good with my new e-ring, so I bought the shared prong eternity band from Signed pieces.
Signed Pieces helped all my dreams come true.
Here''s my pics, hope you like them.
The upper left picture the 41pt princess cut stone in the e-ring is my first upgrade and the anniversary band is my original wedding ring.
