Stone is a 1.32ct Afghan Tourmaline cut by Gary Braun. You may remember seeing this guy posted here previously - I snagged it from Frekechild after begging and begging for it. :naughty: Setting is from The Jewelry Exchange of all places. Selkie and I went out on a setting shopping spree one day and were disappointed that we weren't finding much. So we headed over there and they had a pretty good selection and decent prices. I'm thrilled with the quality of this setting.

Gorgeous! Sets the beautiful stone off perfectly.

Did they set it for you or did you take it to somebody else for mounting?

HI:

Cool!

cheers--Sharon

Love it! Love it! Love it!!! I can't wait to meet it! And eat it!

Athenaworth - keep your germs off my ring!

The Jewelry Exchange did not set it for me. They don't do outside stones, and either way I felt more comfortable taking it to someone who's skills I didn't have any doubts about!

Fantastic color and beautiful ring. Congratulations.

What a gorgeous stone and it looks great in that setting!

I love that seagreen color!

Love the cool color!

Can we see a pic at about arm's length?

Soooo....can I borrow it sometime?

Gorgeous color!!!

For the sake of honesty, though...if my eyes aren't deceiving me, it looks like the stone may be a little bit rotated in the setting (the prongs seem a little off from the 4 corners of the stone). Is that something you've noticed too? I don't want to burst your bubble because the ring is lovely as it is. But I wanted to mention it because it's better to get these things fixed sooner than later if it's something you want to fix.

 Oooo it's a lovely colour and the style of the setting is fab.

I too think it looks a little out of line in the setting - is it?

Lovely!

Beautiful seafoam colour with that bit of blue within.

Ooh, it is super fab! I love it.

I love the seafoam toumalines! I have the privledge of enjoying one of my own. :lickout:

Very pretty color!

Love it! Delicious color.

I think the out of line with the setting is just an optical illusion. There were a few times that I saw it while wearing it, but when I put it on a flat surface and look at it head on it is sitting very evenly in the prongs. Part of it is how it sits on my finger, too. I've studied it every way I can and I'm certain it is even.

Thanks for all the comments! I am extremely happy with how this project turned out. And who would have guessed that The Jewelry Exchange had such great settings?!

That is pretty, I really like that setting and the color of that stone is beautiful!!!

Oh my that is super fabulous!!!!! The color is gorgeous.
