My new studs from HPD!!

I just received my new studs from HPD!
I upgraded my initial set of 1 CTW XXX to these - same size but upgrade in color and more importantly to the CBI super ideal.

After considering all the options, am SO thrilled we went with HPD. Melissa (@Winks_Elf ) is just incredible to work with.

I really appreciate how knowledgeable, trustworthy, and patient Melissa was throughout the process as I weighed options , considered, reconsidered.

It is incredible how completely different these studs are from my originals - from just upgrading the color and cut, even though my original pair was already a triple x and scored well on the HCA. CBIs really are that incredible!!!

The CBI diamonds are incredibly gorgeous, and I am thrilled with the upgrade.

At first I was concerned that the upgrade wouldn’t be worth trading in my originals at a loss, but it is So worth it! Can’t wait to see what you do

There is nothing quite like diamond studs as a jewelry staple, and I adore that your upgrade was such a success! It is amazing how much better the same size can look when you have top performing diamonds.

Reviving my old thread because I have diamond shrinkage syndrome and HPD is no longer around for an upgrade.

Does anyone have an idea how much would be a reasonable resale price for these?

These diamonds were 2,466.00 each for a total of 4,932.00 back in November 2020

What is the clarity, Kya? And is the setting white gold or platinum? And are they exactly 1ctw ie 50 points each?

A 50 point E VVS2 on WhiteFlash is $1790, so it looks like you'll take a bath on these. When I sell, unless it's something unique/custom or substantial or with diamond side stones etc, I throw in the setting for free. Given that they're preloved and come with no upgrade policy etc, I'd look for a comparable premium cut 50 point diamond (which I can't really do, as I don't know the clarity), then take off around 20%. That's my standard starting point for diamonds.

Yes, carat weight is correct- 0.506 and 0.505, to be precise.
Clarity is VS1 and color is E.

The setting is simple 14k gold, agreed makes sense to just throw it in.

Good point you make to find a comp. Now I see that the loss I’d be taking is bigger than I thought due to the gap between price I paid and Whiteflash’s current price. That’s disappointing
