Hello everyone
I thought I would post some pics of my Vatche re-mount
The setting is called ''Caroline''. The diamond - 0.83ct, IF, EX/EX, F color, GIA.
The setting has tiny bead set pave diamonds all around the basket, it''s really delicate looking. The shank of the setting is a very subtle knife-edge (which is not that apparent on Vatche''s photos)and the width for 0.8-0.9 ct weight is about 2.3mm.
When I was looking for a reset for my rectangular radiant, this totally would have been it! Instead I had to create the look I wanted off a Danhov setting, with some changes (like the diamonds on the basket, I added)! My side-shot looks almost exactly like yours, with split claw prongs!
Thanks everyone
It is so nice to read all your comments.
I need to read the instruction manual for my camera so that I can take better pictures because trust me - these photos do not do it justice at all!!!
I find myself looking at it all the time - it''s very distracting
My diamond does look more like a 1 ct in this setting compared to it''s previous home. My initial setting was also a four prong but it had a totally flat shank. I think the knife edge of my Vatche helps focus your eyes on the diamond more because of the way it reflect light.
