the stone is from Gene at precision Gems and the ring is from American Set

I am very pleased iwth the finished results. it is a bit moody but it''s a very nice blue in most moods :) it''s occasional outbreaks of temper just give it personality and it''s still pretty even then, just not a serious blue color.

it looks best under direct sunlight and flourescent lighting and the worst is brought out under grey rainy sky..(but who can''t say that?)

this first pic is sunny sky but not direct light

second pic is under grey rainy skys

The stone looks amazing now that it''s set!!! Yay!

Holy cow!!! That is beautiful! What a fantastic setting for that stone!

Wow, that ring came out gorgeous. Congratulations!

Thanks! it amazed me how different a stone looks set than when you have it loose. that''s why I had the sudden change of heart over this stone after seeing it in a number of settings at the custom place from just seeing it in it''s little gem box. it just comes to life set!

It looks great. I really like the last picture

How did you get it to glow in the first picture? I really like that shot.

I love the color of the sapphire.

Chrono, it just glows like that. it''s like that in natural daylight. :) even today when I was driving home from work and it was grey and overcast, it was glowing. it''s a very neat stone. it''s got about four different colors or shades of blue that are prominent in different lights.

Beautiful ring! I love the colour of the sapphire

Moody or not, that''s a fabulous color! Love the setting...

hand shots are coming!

Chrono, what do you think the glow means? do you think it was mined at the bottom of a nuclear reactor :)

Of course not.

It''s probably some microscopic inclusion that disperses the light differently. It could also be fluorescence, but I think it''s the first one.

It''s beautiful - I think that shade of blue is just lovely, and what a great setting too!

azelismia- beautiful e-ring! Gene did a lovely job for you
