My new Sapphire and Diamond Engagement ring!

My new engagement ring!

Stats are:

1.37ct Australian Sapphire
2 Pear diamonds TCW .43, E/F VVS
White Gold.
Ring size 9 (!!)

The photos make the sapphire look lighter than it is. It's a very deep, royal blue.

Not yet! The jeweller who made it suggested 2 thin, plain white gold bands (one on either side), but my fingers aren''t very long so I''m worried that will take up too much space!

The colour of this one is much darker than the Ceylon sapphires I looked at. I think that''s the only difference, but I could be wrong!

yep, Aussie sapphs typically tend to be a deeper or darker blue, usually with a bit of green.

Yes true, I don''t think coloured gem erings are very popular (at least where I am in Perth).
That said, my younger sis chose a tanzanite..
I do have a diamond ering, I am awaiting a sapphire anniversary ring.
